GoTo Gojek Tokopedia is currently facing a legal dispute in the South Jakarta District Court, following a lawsuit filed by Bruce McRae Haldane, the company’s former Chief Product Officer from 2020 to 2023.
Haldane is seeking Rp43.2 billion in damages over what he claims to be unlawful actions by the issuer.
According to a report by Tempo, GoTo’s Head of Corporate Communications, Abram Wiratma Malumbot, said the firm respects the ongoing judicial process.
He emphasised that all management decisions have adhered to legal requirements and prevailing employment regulations.

“We convey that the case is an industrial relations dispute with a former employee that does not have a material impact on the company,”
Abram stated in a written statement.
Abram added that, as a publicly listed entity, GoTo upholds the principles of good corporate governance and ensures transparency in line with regulatory standards.
“At present, the company remains focused on carrying out operational activities and realising the company’s vision in creating an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem, to provide a positive impact for millions of users, driver partners, and traders throughout Indonesia,”
he said.
Haldane’s lawsuit was registered under case number 1289/Pdt.G/2025/PN JKT.SEL on Friday (21 November).
The Case Tracking Information System records the value of the dispute at Rp43.2 billion, with the matter currently at the stage of judge appointment.
