Maybank Investment Banking Group has named Ray Laksana, CFA, FRM, as President Director of Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia (MSI), effective 29 July 2026.

Laksana brings more than 20 years of experience across consumer and corporate banking, capital markets, and investment banking, according to the company.

As President Director, Laksana will lead MSI’s next phase of growth, with a focus on strengthening collaboration across the wider Maybank ecosystem to deliver more value for clients and stakeholders.

The appointment comes shortly after PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk. (BNII) took a 51% controlling stake in MSI, part of its move to become the Operational Financial Conglomerate Holding Company for Maybank Group in Indonesia under OJK’s Financial Conglomerate regulation.

The transaction, disclosed on 4 August, valued BNII’s stake in MSI at approximately Rp583.74 billion.
