VinFast has signed a series of MoUs with several major Indonesian financial institutions to support the country’s transition to green mobility.
The partnerships represent a step forward in VinFast’s market expansion strategy in Indonesia and reinforce its commitment to improving access to electric vehicles in Southeast Asia.
The MoUs were signed with Adira Dinamika Multi Finance, Bank Woori Saudara Indonesia, CIMB Niaga Auto Finance, Mandiri Tunas Finance, Maybank Indonesia Finance, and Sunindo Kookmin Best Finance.
The agreements outline plans for closer cooperation across communication, marketing, and operational processes, including efforts to streamline credit assessment and approval procedures.
The aim is to shorten processing times and provide customers with a more efficient purchasing experience.
A central element of the collaboration is to reduce financial barriers for prospective EV buyers.
Partner finance companies will develop loan programmes featuring competitive interest rates, lower down payments, and faster credit approvals.
These measures are expected to broaden VinFast’s customer base and support future sales.
The parties will also work together to design financial products tailored to VinFast’s two ownership models: the Battery-Included plan and the Battery Subscription plan.
This approach aims to address a range of customer needs, including those of individual and corporate buyers.
In addition, VinFast and its partners will consider integrating automotive insurance, extended warranty options, and aftersales financial services to create a more comprehensive customer offering.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, said:
“This partnership is not only an important step in our business strategy but also a testament to VinFast’s ‘Customer-Centric’ philosophy and our commitment to accelerating the green transition in what we proudly call our ‘second home market.’”
Since entering Indonesia, VinFast has expanded its presence in the country’s EV sector.
The company is preparing to begin operations at its Subang assembly plant to strengthen local production capacity.
VinFast has also introduced a range of electric vehicles, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF e34, and VF 7.
