Indonesian tech firm GoTo has appointed Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo as its new Deputy CEO and Vice President Director in a leadership reshuffle approved during its annual and extraordinary general meeting, DealStreetAsia has learned.
Sutjahyo, who previously led the on-demand services unit as President and served as a Director, succeeds Thomas Husted in one of the company’s top executive roles.
Alongside her appointment, Hans Patuwo will now oversee GoTo’s on-demand services as President while retaining his position as Group Chief Operating Officer and Director.
He will also take charge of aligning operations and driving synergies across GoTo’s various business units, including its financial services arm.
The restructuring includes five new director-level promotions from within the GoTo Group.
Monica Lynn Mulyanto has been appointed Director and Chief People Officer, while RA Koesoemohadiani takes on the role of Director of Legal and Group Corporate Secretary.
Ade Mulyana becomes Director of Public Affairs and Communications, Wuzhen (William) Xiong is named Director and Chief Technology Officer, and Sudhanshu Raheja is promoted to Director and President of GoTo Financial.
GoTo said the changes are part of its strategy to strengthen operational execution, promote internal talent, and support long-term growth.
The leadership transition was accompanied by shareholder approval for a share buyback programme of up to US$200 million.
Shareholders also supported the use of treasury shares to fund employee and management stock options as part of the company’s capital management approach.
The updated board of commissioners is now chaired by President Commissioner Agus DW Martowardojo, with members including Winato Kartono, Wishnutama Kusubandio, and Pablo Malay.
Independent commissioners are John A Prasetio, Dirk Van den Berghe, and Marjorie Tiu Lao.
GoTo’s board of directors is now comprised of President Director Patrick Walujo, Deputy CEO Sutjahyo, and directors Simon Tak Leung Ho, Hans Patuwo, Monica Lynn Mulyanto, RA Koesoemohadiani, Ade Mulyana, Wuzhen Xiong, and Sudhanshu Raheja.
