BTSE Group has launched a regulated digital asset exchange in Indonesia through a joint venture with PT Aset Kripto Internasional.
The new platform, called BTSE Indonesia, is a rebranded version of the existing NVX exchange and operates under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
Under the partnership agreement, BTSE Group will provide the backend trading infrastructure and liquidity. The local team will manage user acquisition, regional partnerships, and marketing efforts.
BTSE Indonesia holds a license as a Digital Financial Assets and Crypto Assets Trading Operator (PAKD) from the OJK.
This regulatory approval allows the platform to collaborate with local banks to offer IDR deposit, withdrawal, and conversion services, alongside IDR-denominated trading pairs.
The company noted that the license enables the potential introduction of futures trading and other financial products, provided these align with local regulatory guidelines.

“Indonesia has everything it takes to be Asia’s next major crypto hub; the population, the demand, and now the regulatory framework,”
said Jeff Mei, Chief Operating Officer of BTSE Group.
