Regulatory oversight of digital assets in Indonesia formally transitioned from Bappebti to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on January 10, 2025, significantly impacting the top crypto exchanges in Indonesia.

Cryptocurrency in the country currently holds a dual legal status. It is fully legal to trade as a regulated digital financial asset, but it remains strictly illegal to use as a means of payment under the Currency Law.

In March 2026, the OJK released an official whitelist of licensed and registered digital financial asset trading operators.

Top 6 Crypto Exchanges in Indonesia for 2026

From mobile-first applications to multi-asset brokerages, here is a deeper look at the top 6 crypto exchanges Indonesia currently regulates.

    Last updated: 22 June 2026

    Indodax

Indodax is one of the oldest digital asset platforms in the country, co-founded by Oscar Darmawan and William Sutanto. Sutanto assumed the role of CEO in May 2025.

The platform recently formed a strategic partnership with HashKey Exchange to bolster local crypto infrastructure.

This collaboration specifically focuses on strengthening liquidity support, improving trading architecture, and exploring development in the Real-World Assets sector.

    Tokocrypto

Tokocrypto operates as a Binance-backed Indonesian exchange, executing high volumes of daily trading activity.

The company recorded significant growth over the past year.

According to the company, transaction volumes rose from US$4 billion in 2023 to US$12 billion in 2024.

Tokocrypto also posted its first annual profit in 2024, as confirmed by CEO Calvin Kizana.

Backed by Binance’s infrastructure, the platform offers trade execution capabilities alongside tailored local fiat gateways for Indonesian users.

    Pintu

Pintu structures its offering around a mobile-first digital asset application designed specifically for retail investors.

The platform recently surpassed 11 million app downloads and expanded its asset base to include nearly 400 listed tokens.

It has attracted significant institutional backing to accelerate user acquisition, previously securing US$113 million in Series B funding from investors including Lightspeed and Pantera Capital.

The company integrates fiat deposit methods with built-in educational resources through its Pintu Academy feature to support new users.

    Reku

Previously known as Rekeningku, Reku operates as a global investment platform targeting both novice and experienced retail traders.

The platform allows users to access a wide variety of global asset classes, reportedly comprising over 800 cryptocurrencies alongside US stocks and exchange-traded funds.

Given the frequent changes in digital asset listings, this total asset count is subject to ongoing fluctuation and should be treated as an estimate.

By offering detailed tracking of user portfolios, Reku helps local investors monitor their capital allocation across different asset classes.

    Pluang

Pluang operates as an all-in-one investment application that offers digital assets as part of a wider wealth management strategy.

The firm recently secured US$10 million in Series C funding led by MUFG Innovation Partners.

The company achieved profitability last year and reported group revenues of US$30 million, driven by a domestic user base exceeding 13 million registered accounts.

Users can trade cryptocurrencies alongside a diverse range of alternative assets, with the platform recently expanding to include trading for local Indonesian equities.

By integrating digital assets into a traditional investment interface, Pluang allows retail investors to diversify without managing multiple separate brokerage accounts.

    FLOQ

Formerly operating as PT Kripto Maksima Koin under the GoTo Group, FLOQ recently rebranded under the leadership of former Tokocrypto CEO Yudhono Rawis.

The retail platform secured US$11.3 million in funding in June 2026 from institutional investors, including Ascent HFX Group and MD Capital.

The company plans to deploy this capital to upgrade its trading architecture, fortify cybersecurity defences, and ensure strict regulatory compliance.

Having amassed over 1.8 million registered users, the platform aims to expand its retail user base to three million by the end of 2026.
