Superbank has reported a profit before tax of IDR 234 billion for the first half of 2026. The Indonesian digital bank attributed the 669% year-on-year increase in profit to its ecosystem strategy, particularly the integration of its services with Grab and OVO.

More than 60% of Superbank’s over 7 million customers are Grab and OVO users. This integration helped drive the bank’s loan portfolio to IDR 13.4 trillion, representing a 61% year-on-year increase.

The growth was largely supported by embedding its Pinjaman Atur Sendiri loan product within the Grab and OVO apps, allowing users to access financing directly.

On the funding side, third-party funds reached IDR 15.9 trillion, an 89.1% increase from the previous year. This deposit growth outpaced loan growth and provided the bank with a solid liquidity position for future expansion.

“The first half of 2026 marks an important milestone for Superbank,”

said Tigor M. Siahaan, President Director of Superbank.

“The ecosystem strategy we have built together with our shareholders is now delivering tangible results in expanding our customer base, strengthening our profitability, operational efficiency, and asset quality.”

    Profitability and asset quality improvements

The bank maintained its growth momentum on a quarterly basis, with second-quarter profit before tax rising 33.5% to IDR 134 billion compared to the first quarter. Total assets grew by 81.5% year-on-year to IDR 27.0 trillion.

Net interest income increased by 51.7% to IDR 1.01 trillion, while the net interest margin remained at 8.7%.

Superbank also improved its operational efficiency, with its cost-to-income ratio dropping to 54.8% from 74.6% a year earlier.

Pre-tax return on equity rose to 5.7%, up from 1.2% in the first half of 2025.

Asset quality improved alongside the rapid expansion. The gross non-performing loan ratio fell to 1.6% from 2.7% in the same period last year.

Superbank reported a capital adequacy ratio of 74.5%, which the company noted provides a solid foundation for future growth.

Backed by Grab, Emtek, GXS Bank, and KakaoBank, Superbank plans to continue deepening the integration of its financial services across its partner network in the second half of the year.
