Virtusa Corporation, a global product and platform engineering services company, has completed a cloud modernisation programme for CIMB Niaga, marking what the companies describe as Indonesia’s first migration to Pega Cloud.
The programme involved moving CIMB Niaga’s on-premises Pega customer service system to Pega Cloud. The migration covered core workflows supporting customer servicing, operations and internal decision-making.
The bank said the transition will improve service reliability, increase operational agility and scalability, while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.
By shifting mission-critical processes to a cloud-based environment, CIMB Niaga aims to establish a more resilient operating model and accelerate the rollout of future digital banking initiatives.
The bank said the platform will support enhancements in customer relationship management, contact centre operations, and lending and service journeys.
Hemant Tantia, Asia Business Head at Virtusa, said:

“We are honoured to partner with the bank on Indonesia’s first Pega Cloud migration. Our collaboration focused on precision, transparency, and seamless execution, ensuring a smooth Go Live that supports CIMB Niaga’s long-term digital vision.”
Lusiana Saleh, Head of Digital Banking and Contact Center at CIMB Niaga, said the migration strengthens the bank’s technology foundation and enables greater agility.

“The transition to Pega Cloud enables us to operate with greater agility and sets the stage for future digital initiatives that will strengthen our customer experience and operational effectiveness,” she said.
