Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), an Indonesian state-owned commercial bank, has partnered with Cloudera to leverage generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) for advancing its banking services.

This move positions BNI among the first global enterprises to trial Cloudera’s AI Inference service, powered by NVIDIA NIM.

This collaboration aims to enhance BNI’s customer experience and operational efficiency through AI-driven innovation.

As part of its ongoing four-year transformation journey, BNI will utilise Cloudera’s Gen AI and NVIDIA technology to improve regional and commercial banking productivity, as well as its credit and transaction banking platforms.

BNI’s deployment of Cloudera’s AI Inference service within its virtual private cloud ensures a secure environment for hosting predictive and Gen AI models.

This service streamlines the deployment of large-scale AI models, maintaining high performance and efficiency while ensuring privacy and security.

With the necessary infrastructure and maintenance processes in place, BNI’s data science teams can now deploy AI models quickly, securely, and cost-effectively while maintaining full control over their data.

The use of Cloudera solutions will enable BNI to scale its Gen AI operations, providing tools such as a knowledge-based co-pilot for employees and personalised customer service.

Cloudera’s AI Inference service offers features like real-time predictions, enhanced AI model performance on NVIDIA GPUs, and advanced deployment options, with a full release expected in August.
