Bank Danamon and JCB have launched a premium card targeting private banking customers in Indonesia.
JCB is launching its highest-tier card ever issued outside Japan, marking the first initiative under its regional partnership with MUFG Bank.
Aimed at affluent Indonesian consumers, the Danamon JCB Treasure Card offers preferential foreign exchange rates for overseas transactions and 5% cashback on eligible bill payments.
Cardholders will also receive complimentary overseas travel insurance and access to eligible airport lounges in Japan and worldwide.
Benefits for travel to Japan include reservation assistance for difficult-to-book restaurants and privileges at selected stores and facilities.
MUFG Bank and JCB signed a MoU for the partnership in July 2026.
Their collaboration combines MUFG’s financial network and partner banks with JCB’s international payment infrastructure and merchant network across ASEAN.
Initial plans will focus on developing card products for affluent customers across the region.
Over the medium to long term, MUFG Bank and JCB also plan to explore cross-border payments and mobile services by combining JCB’s payment capabilities with services from MUFG-backed digital financial service providers.
