Tencent Cloud has launched a suite of AI agent tools in Indonesia as enterprises across sectors accelerate AI adoption and automation.
Launched at its AI Executive Day in Jakarta on 15 July, the solutions aim to shift enterprise AI usage from basic content generation toward agents capable of executing multi-step business tasks.
Central to the rollout is Tencent WorkBuddy, a workspace productivity tool for deploying AI agents in data analysis and market research.
Users can draw on specialised “Experts” across fields such as finance, law and marketing, while integrating external large language models via APIs.
According to the company, WorkBuddy recorded 8.85 million monthly active users in China during its first month.
To manage the rising token consumption associated with these tools, Tencent Cloud introduced TokenHub. This API gateway allows businesses to aggregate multiple large language models, centrally controlling access and allocating token usage.
Another addition is Tencent Design Miora, a creative studio tool that automates asset production across graphics and video.
Financial sector cloud infrastructure
These AI tools add to Tencent Cloud’s existing infrastructure services used by financial institutions and digital platforms in Indonesia.
Bank Neo Commerce currently relies on Tencent Cloud’s TDSQL database solutions to support its core operations, handling high transaction volumes as the lender expands its consumer reach.
Within the payments sector, digital wallet DANA maintains application performance across the archipelago using Tencent Cloud’s content delivery network.
Similar infrastructure supports eKYC technology at institutions such as BRI for remote customer verification.
Telecom operator Telkomsel is also implementing palm-based verification systems for digital identity processes.
