The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has granted a license to International Crypto Exchange (ICEx), making it Indonesia’s second regulated cryptocurrency exchange and advancing the development of a more structured and integrated digital and crypto asset market.
According to Kontan, ICEx received strategic funding of IDR 1 trillion to support its operations.
The exchange will provide market infrastructure that is inclusive and transparent, aligned with institutional standards, and responsible for trade reporting, market integrity monitoring, member supervision, and coordination with regulators.
OJK has also licensed Fortune Integritas Mandiri as a digital asset exchange operator under Decision No. Cap No. 2 D07/2026.
The presence of multiple exchanges aims to support a healthier and more sustainable national ecosystem.
The investment highlights collaboration among investors, regulators, and industry participants in building a market that balances product development with regulatory oversight.
